She made us those ginger cookies when Mom died. Had to make a couple extra trips to Greene to get the ingredients!
So many wonderful memories - and her transparent apples, I think her trees were the only ones I'd ever seen of that type apple!
Please let us know when the burial service is. I am planning on coming home in the spring and it would be nice to coordinate my trip with a chance to honor her again.
love,
dottie

Bob & Mary,
We are sorry that we couldn''''t be there, we are in Florida. Harold and Reva were the nicest neighbors we ever had. We shared many things over the years, one memory is that they grew the best parsnips that we ever had. Reva would always want us to come over and have a cookie. Her Birthday and our Daughters Birthday were the same month and day. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all and Indian Brook will never be the same.

Sad news, but so many wonderful memories of going to the farm for family picnics. Aunt Reva always had a smile and a hug- a very special woman, and you will miss her everyday. I think she was ready for her next adventure, and I know Uncle Harold and her sisters are so glad to see her. You are all in my thoughts.

I had the fortune of reconnecting with my great-aunt Reva a few years ago at a family reunion, and her smile and kind eyes were exactly the same as I remembered as a child.  She was a blessing, and because I wasn't a part of her life for the most part, I just want to tell the rest of the family how sorry I am on her passing, and thank you for loving on her all these years.

With love,

Mrs. Smith was my neighbor and friend. She was so kind to me when my husband died as she always invited me in to chat, stay for dinner, have a cookie or two, or visit for a while with my dog, whom she loved. She had so many great stories to tell about the farm.

My thoughts go out to her wonderful family.

Bob,
Thank you so much for sharing the photos.  They brought me such joy!  Aunt Reva always had the BEST ginger snap cookies and pies (must be something in the family)!  I hold such dear memories of her and the farm.

You and yours are in my thoughts!  Please, let me know if you need anything.

Mrs. Smith could well be proud of her children, and as my son Greg was her neighbor, enjoyed those pies. I recall fondly of his stories about Mrs Smith.
