Maryann R. Esposito

Maryann Rose Esposito, 78, formerly of Greene, left us on  August 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in South Carolina.  She was born on March 7, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York daughter to the late Marco and Angelia Basile.  Maryann was also predeceased by her husband, Giovanni Esposito; her daughter, Andrea Leone and her sister, Josephine Ciardullo. Maryann worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, New York City until she moved to Greene, NY in 1986 where she was a waitress at Marco's Restaurant.  Maryann moved to Ladson, South Carolina with her daughter in 2015. Family was Maryann’s passion as were her puppies.  She loved to cook, bake, shop, buy scary movies and most of all be with her grandchildren.  She possessed a contagious laugh and an entertaining sense of humor. Maryann is survived by her daughter, Maria (Vincent) Armetta; brother, Anthony Basile; three granddaughters, Vita Leone, Gabriella and Vanessa (Joe) Armetta; her great granddaughter, Gianna Leone. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Maryann is also survived by her beloved puppy, Bella. Her new adventure takes her to our family in heaven to continue her cooking, laughing, watching her scary movies and playing with her beloved puppies.  We were blessed with her and will always remember her as our loving, caring and sassy mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  We will miss her forever.  Till I see you again…….. A service for Maryann will be held 11:00am Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Greene. She will be laid to rest in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
