Willie Edward Alston III

Willie Edward Alston III, (Billy), age 64, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2023, at his home in Norwich, NY. He was born October 31, 1958, at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA and was the oldest child of Anne and Willie Alston. Billy graduated from Herndon High School in VA before moving to NY, where he met his beloved Stephanie. In 2019, Willie and Stephanie finally tied the knot. Billy had a passion for singing and dancing, especially to the music of Michael Jackson. He was also an avid fan of the NY Giants, and his infectious energy was felt by everyone around him. However, above all Billy was a devoted family man. His love for his daughter Maggie and his grandchildren Danny and Malerie knew no bounds. Billy is survived by his mother, Anne Alston and his father Willie Alston (Beverley). His is also survived by his wife, Stephanie, his daughter Maggie, son-in-law Alex Henry and, his cherished grandchildren Danny and Malerie Gross. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Lisa, brothers Keith, Chris Pat, and Mike as well as his step-children Stephanie, Gina, Dustin, Luann and Jazzman. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews spanning from VA to CA, as well as several aunts and an uncle. Willie’s celebration of life will be held at a July 14th at 3pm at the Greene Lions Park.
