Sylvia L. Taylor

Sylvia L. Taylor, 95, of Chenango Forks, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Gerald C. Taylor; parents, Wolfred and Ruth Ingraham; sister, Betty Kasson; sister, Rose Sherwood; sister, Phyllis Shoemaker; brother, Bob Ingraham and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in law, Daniel and Nancy Bixby of Guilford and Kris and Vicki Taylor of South Carolina; 4 grandchildren, Jeanette Goldenstein, Michael Taylor, Emily Bixby, and Cole Taylor; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie, Darlene, Susie, and brothers, Kenny and Mark. Sylvia was a member of the Chenango Forks Fire Department in the ladies auxiliary and during the early years ran a successful gas station for many years. She worked at Branem Industries in Greene for over 30 years and she also ran her own well-known beauty salon. She loved her home and  and was very committed to her family. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778.
