Sunny Mae Barnett

With heavy hearts, we share the loss of Sunny Mae Barnett (Braman), who passed away at 38 on May 4, 2025, at her home in Greene, NY, surrounded by loved ones. Sunny faced Stage IV cancer for over two years with remarkable bravery. Sunny leaves behind her devoted husband, John Barnett; children, Evelyn and Owen; parents, Charles and Sherrill Braman; sisters, Ashlie Braman, and Sherri Battaglini (Joe); brothers, Kyle (Katie), Shawn (Amber), Tavish, and Woody (Emily) Braman; nieces, Reannon Braman and Harley; and nephew, Jaron Hogancamp. A special thank you to Sunny’s devoted friends and family that were her cancer committee fighting along her side. Cancer never defined Sunny; instead, it revealed her extraordinary strength as a mother, wife, daughter, and sister. She met each challenge with unwavering determination, living each day with grace. Honoring her wish to be remembered for her vibrant spirit, no calling hours will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place on May 18, 2025, at Genegantslet Golf Club from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
