Stephen Koerts

Stephen Koerts, 75, of Greene passed away at home on January 2, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, Arie and Sally Koerts. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruthie Koerts; son, Justin Koerts; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Charlene Koerts and Paul and Beth Koerts; sister, Kathy Tampio; 2 sisters-in-law, Doris Sykora and Shirley Sykora; several nieces, great-nieces, and nephews. Steve was a pharmacist for over 50 years. He owned Koerts’ Pharmacy in Greene for 20 years. Steve loved his community and was a member of the Greene Emergency Squad over 50 years as well as an honorary member of the Greene Fire Department. He was a wonderful husband and father. Friends of the family may call from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Zion Episcopal Church, 10 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778 and from 11:00am until 12:00pm Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Ave, Endicott, NY 13760. A memorial service will be held 12:00pm, Saturday, January 6 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church. Rev. John Martinichio will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Emergency Squad, 30 Birdsall St, Greene, NY 13778. Arrangements are under the direction of Root Funeral Home, 23 N.
