Ronald Eric Nelson

Ronald Eric Nelson, 63, of Greene, went to be with the Lord and others that were waiting for him on Monday, August 24, 2020. He was predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Joyce Nelson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Burnard and Betty Jenks and sister, Nancy Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy; brothers, Gregory (Cheryl) Nelson of Freeville and Timothy (Marilyn) Nelson of Ralston, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Steven Jenks; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Dacey and Esther Dean; many nieces and nephews, and special friends that were like family, the Roger and Lynne Beach family. Eric was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that asked. He loved spending his life working as a farm hand being around cows. He enjoyed the outdoors and always looked forward to hunting every fall. He had an amazing sense of humor. Eric was a member of the Tractors of Yesteryear Club for over 20 years and he loved going and participating at all the local tractor pulls. A memorial service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, September 5 under Dorchester Park's North Pavilion, 5469 NY-26, Whitney Point, NY 13862. Immediately following the service a reception will be held until 4:00PM. Services have been entrusted to Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778.
