Robert "Beaver Bob" Smith

Robert “Beaver Bob” Smith, 69 of Greene passed away after a three year battle with colon cancer on December 24, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Joyce Smith. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tammy Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Judy Smith; mother-in-law, Margaret Evans; 2 sisters-in-law, Kellie Evans and Bonnie Evans; special young man who he thought of as his son, Caleb Rowe; best friend Brandon Bough; several nieces and nephews and cousins; special friends, Todd Wheeler, Dennis Rowe, David Castle, Jim Small, Michelle Fargnoli and her children, Tia and Eric Lee. Bob retired from Raymond Corporation as a welder after 45 years of service. He was an avid hunter and was on the board of Greene Rod and Gun Club for many years. He owned Beaver Bob’s Deer Processing Shop for over twenty five years.  He was a man well known with a far reach. Friends of the family may call Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Root Funeral Home 23 North Chenango Street, Greene New York 13778.
