A charter member of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church, he served for some years on its Administrative Board, and as General Church Treasurer. He was a faithful congregant of the Church in Hopewell Twp.

A wonderful example to his children, he led them in the ways of the Lord, sharing his wisdom and godly counsel. His faith and love for God were evident always in his daily life.
