Robert Shearer

Robert Merald Shearer, 73, of Greene, New York passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 16, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, Merald and Esther Shearer. He is survived by his wife, Esther Shearer; daughter, Bethany Cutting and her husband Joel Cutting; son, Zachary Shearer and his wife, Ashley Shearer; daughter, Elisa Shearer; grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Grant Cutting, and Amelia Cutting; siblings, Diana Petrolawicz, John Shearer, and Daniel Shearer; and mother-in-law, Kazuko Kingsbury.

He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to World Central Kitchen, National Public Radio, the Public Broadcasting Service, or World Vision in Bob's honor.

No services are currently planned, but a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
