Reginald Gillette Obituary

Reginald R. "Reggie" Gillette, 69 of Greene, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2022. He was born at Greene Hospital on January 6, 1953. He graduated from Greene Central School with the class of 1971. He worked at Grosset and Dunlap (Putnam Publishing) for 33 years. He was predeceased by his father, Norman "Fat" Gillette and brother, Richard "Dick" Decker.  He is survived by his mother, Ella Snyder; sister, Patty (Mark) Davis; nephews, Brian Davis and Paul Decker; nieces, Bethany Davis and Michelle (Dan) Lake; two great nieces and four great nephews; one aunt; three uncles and many cousins. He loved his family dearly. He attended Berean Bible Church and occasionally the Greene Alliance Church. He was a member of the Greene Booster Club and attended many high school sports events. He was an avid drag racing and NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching golf and ice hockey. Mostly, he loved "his" music. Friends of the family may call 1:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday, November 12 at Berean Bible Church, Route 12 South in Greene. A celebration of life service will follow at 2pm at the church.  Arrangements are by Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
