Priscilla M. (Youngs) DeNyse, 85, of Greene went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2023. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert DeNyse, her parents and several brothers and sisters. Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Judy Martinez; daughter, Kathy (Craig) Sebring; son, Robert (Mary) Morris; son, James (Achie) Morris; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Bickford; sister, Helen (Mark) Halom; sister-in-law, Beverly Day and many nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. As a Greene Central graduate of the Class of ‘55, Priscilla went on to raise her family, obtain her nursing degree from the Decker School of Nursing, and ultimately, after 25 years of service, retire from the NYS Veterans Home, Oxford. Priscilla was known for being a true believer in God, caring, hardworking, colorful dresser, and an avid family photog. She was very proud to have received a Volunteer of the Year award from Hospice of Chenango County. Priscilla dearly loved her friends and socializing, playing Bingo at the Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry and Saint Louise Manor, Binghamton until the pandemic of 2020 when she moved to live with family. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coventry United Gospel Church, 2569 St Hwy 235, Greene, NY 13778. Or the Windy Hill Senior Center, Coventry Town Hall, 1839 St Hwy 235, Greene, NY 13778.
