Patricia L. Shaffer

Patricia L. Shaffer, 87, of Greene passed away on December 31, 2022 after a short period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Shaffer; grandson; Jerome Smith; parents, Archie and Pearl Lobdell; brothers, Robert and Ken Lobdell and sister, Alice Davis. She is survived by her children, Vern Smith Jr., Steve and Kathy Smith, Matt Smith and Mary, Kathy and Jeff Funnell; grandchildren, Carrie (Lucas) Wong, Stephen (Maureen) Smith, Trent Funnell (Makayla), Erin and Jeremy Barss, Rachel Smith; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Lyra Wong, Lucy Smith and Beauden Barss; brothers, Jesse and Kathy Lobdell, Jerry and Renee Lobdell; brother-in-law, John Davis; sister-in-law, Janice Lobdell and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat graduated from Greene Central School and lived her life in Greene and Norwich. She was 57 years old when she began taking college courses and received her associates degree in 1994 at age 59. She retired from Chenango County Office for the Aging, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. A private graveside service will be held in the spring.
