Owen Koster Sr.

Owen Koster Sr., 81, passed away on January 27, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 3, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Emil and Pearl (Bickford) Koster. He was also predeceased by his 2 sons, Owen Jr. and Donald and his brother, George. Owen is survived by his wife Sandra; daughter, Deborah Burns; grandchildren, Zachariah Burns, Corey Burns, Kirsten Koster, Chelsie (Randy) Brotzman, Leon Koster, Donald Koster, Nathanial Croop, Cassandra Koster; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Verna (George) Fox, sister-in-law, Joanne Koster; sister and brother in-laws, Yvonne (Daniel) Woodruff, Sharon (John) Gates many nieces and nephews; special friends, Tom and Carolyn Tripple, Richard and Lynda Granger. Owen married the love of his life, Sandra (Singer) on March 4th, 1961 sharing almost 60 years together.  Owen was a very proud, respected and loving man that would help others whenever needed. He was very opinionated and spoke his mind, even at times when it wasn't necessary. He enjoyed making people laugh and always tried to make everyone happy. He was a good listener and gave good advice. He was a proud owner operator of Owen Koster Trucking. He traveled all over the countryside doing what he loved until he retired 6 years ago. He was a member of the Million Mile Club. Owen was a very loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by many. Owen did not want services but a gathering to celebrate his life will be planned at a later date.
