Miles Burns

Miles Ed Burns, 89, of Smithville Flats, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary; parents, William and Gertrude; brother, Charles; 2 sisters, Ruth Kinney and Sara McFarland. Miles is survived by his daughter, Robin Fink; grandchildren, Dominick (Carrie) Fink, James (Angela) Fink; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert and Richard Burns; several nieces and nephews. Ed was a life time member of Genegantslet Fire Department. He retired from the US Army National Guard at 62 years old and was a retired member of Iron Workers Union Local 60. Ed was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. A grave side service for Ed & Rose will be held on August 2, 2024 at 10:00AM at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene, NY.
