Mildred Silvernail Obituary

Mildred L. (Clark) Silvernail, 88, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Romphus and Doris (Wiggins) Clark and DeForest and Dorothy (Aiken) Ingraham; brother, Donald Clark; daughter, Renee Silvernail; and husband, Rev. Glenn A. Silvernail, with whom she served faithfully in all his pastorates in the Northeast District of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union for 34 years. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (John) Haggerty and Jeffrey (Karen) Silvernail; grandchildren, Adam, Josiah and Rachel Silvernail and Sheri (Brett) Smith; great-grandchildren, Lysander, Tirian and Callia Silvernail and Hannah, Zachary and Elijah Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Mildred enjoyed talking with friends, traveling and working with flowers. She made beautiful seasonal arrangements for church functions and planted and tended to flowerbeds at the CCCU Lily Lake Campground. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday September 27, 2025 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. Rev. Penird to officiate. Friends of the family may call from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CCCU Lily Lake, 835 State Route 369, Chenango Forks, NY 13746.
