Michael Blasko

Michael John Blasko, 58, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.  He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Michael Blasko.  He is survived by his loving wife, Cathryn Janel Becker Blasko; his two daughters, Danika Janel and Chelsie Michelle Blasko; two sons, Gabriel Vladimir and Jacob Michael Blasko; his mother, Dorothy Marie Blasko; aunts, Anne Hacker and Alma Short; brother-in-law, David and Cassandra Becker; nieces, Serinda Becker and Emily Pedersen. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Forestry from ESF Syracuse University and attended SUNY ESF Ranger School in Wanakena, NY.   Mike was self-employed as a Forester for over 20 years.  He was a member of the Greene Lions Club.  Mike coached every team Danika ever played on.  He was an avid hunter, trapper and beekeeper.  He loved the outdoors, and his dogs; he was passionate about the natural environment and he was determined to keep an ash tree alive to save the species for future generations.  He was a loving father, a devoted husband, and the best son a mother could ever have. Memorial donations may be made to the SUNY ESF Ranger School, 257 Ranger School Rd., Wanakena, NY 13695. There will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring.
