Mary E. Button

Mary E. Button (nee Marsh), born April 21, 1955, of Oxford, NY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, her in-laws, 5 brothers-in-law,  2 nephews and a niece. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Button of 47 years; daughter, Karel Louden and husband Marty Louden; grandchildren, Kaleb Mills and Jenna Louden; sister, Robin Molnar; brother, George Marsh;  sisters -in -law, Maureen Marsh, Beverly Button, Karyn Surine, Karel Williamson, and Connie Button; brothers-in-law, Clinton Benjamin Button, Dyke Surine and Kevin Williamson in addition to many nieces and nephews. Mary was a wonderful person and the most compassionate wife, mother, Nana and friend. She would do anything for you to help if she needed. Mary had a huge heart and positive attitude with the inate ability to let things roll off her back. She was a lover of life, the feeling of being free with the wind which began with her love of horses. She was born and raised in New York City. As a teen she fell in love with the country and the land around her so she settled in upstate New York.  Mary was always known for having a camera in her hand as she loved photography and the arts. For those that know her, they will know her favorite things to watch was the News, her soap opera and Crime shows. Mary faced a very long and tough battle and did it with a smile on her face everyday with the fight until her last breath.  She will be missed immensely.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
