Mary Buchsbaum

Mary Ruth Buchsbaum, 87, of Greene went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Florida. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Ruth Jones; her brother, Dutchy; sisters, Betty, Mildred, Esther and Cynthia; an infant daughter, Joann; son, Ellis as well as Stewart French, John Brandow and Kenneth Buchsbaum. Mary is survived by her 2 sons, Donald French of Greene and Michael Brandow of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter, Shirley Cook of McDonough; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 3 daughters-in-law. Mary was born and raised in Greene, NY and became a Charter member of Berean Bible Church as a co-founder in 1968. She was very active at Berean and taught God’s word to 4 and 5 year olds for many years. When she moved to Florida she was very active with her husband, Ken, at Word of Life and the First Baptist Church in Hudson. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm Sunday, September 5 at Berean Bible church, 109 County Road 2, Greene, New York 13778. The family asks that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
