Mardy Centerwall

Mardy Centerwall, 74 of Greene, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Moorhead; brother, Frank Moorhead and sister, Rita Moorhead. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wink Centerwall; 2 sons, Toby Centerwall of Oneonta and Tanner Centerwall of Virgil and a grandson Jonah. Mardy can best be remembered for her love of gardening, specifically flowers.  She was a former member of our local Greene Garden Club and tended to her own personal gardens with a bountifulness of pride.  Early on you would have been greeted by her at Dr. Erwin Centerwall’s practice before starting her family.  She kept busy raising her three boys - especially the oldest “boy.” Her later years were spent enjoying her puzzles, her backyard swing, the occasional can of Coca Cola, and quiet evenings with her husband.  She was adored by her family and will be greatly missed. Services are private.
