Leif Ayers

Leif Martin Ayers, 60, passed away at home on Wednesday April 26, 2023 with his loving family by his side.  He fought a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Norma Ayers.  Leif is survived by his loving wife, Jody; brother, Eric (Paula); sisters, Robin (Gerald) Holden and Dorian (Jesse) Henley; nieces, Catherine, Lauren and Sarah (Keith); nephew, Nicholas (Kristina) and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved newfoundlands, Zarrko and Domino. Leif was employed by New Channels, Time Warner Cable and Spectrum Cable for 35 years as an installer and maintenance technician.  Leif truly loved his job and took great pride in his work.  He was a member of the Genesee Region Newfoundland Club and the Newfoundland Club of America. He loved spending summers on the Finger Lakes at our club’s water training for the chance to pet the numerous newfies in attendance.  Leif was an avid reader and loved doing the word search every morning.  He also loved woodworking and mowing the lawn on his John Deere. Per Leif's request there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Leif’s name can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at t2t.org or the Newfoundland Club of America Charitable Trust at www.ncacharities.org.
