Larry Felter Obituary

Larry N. Felter, 79, of Greene, passed away on December 2, 2021 at the NYS Veterans’ Home in Oxford. He was predeceased by his parents, Warren and Margaret Felter; son, Duane and stepson, Wade Leonard. Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy Felter; son, Wayne Felter; stepdaughter, Ronda Najarian; grandchildren; brother, James; stepbrother, Ralph and stepsister, Melinda. Larry served his country in the US Marines and was a member of American Legion Post #376 in Oxford. He worked at Raymond Corporation for many years. He also worked at Greene Bowlodrome and was the secretary for the Thursday Night Bowling League for many years. Larry was always very organized and detailed oriented. Larry loved to play golf and he and Nancy were on a couple’s league at Belden Hill golf course. He also got his wife Nancy to bowl on Sunday night couples league at the Greene Bowlodrome. He was an avid fan of the NY Giants and the Chicago Cubs and he enjoyed watching movies. A memorial service will be held 11:00am Wednesday at the Central Baptist Church, 37 South Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church or American Legion Post 376,   PO Box 217, Oxford, NY 13830.  Arrangements are under the direction of Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
