Julia A. White

In loving memory of Julia A. (Maltzan) White of Greene. 

Julia A. (Maltzan) White, 82, of Greene went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard White and her parents, Edward and Arlene Maltzan. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Markham (Jeff); son, Mark White; son, Brian White (Beth); daughter, Lynnette White (Tim); grandson, Nicholas Markham (Molly); granddaughter, Gabriella Markham; sister, Patricia VanAlstyne; and niece, Tameka VanAlstyne. 

Julia grew up in Sherburne, New York and she graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School. After graduating she went on to work for the Norwich Knitting Mill and also the Norwich Shoe Factory. Good friends set Julia and Richard up on a blind date and they were together ever since. They got married and started their family in Greene and were married for 53 wonderful years. Julia took great pride in being a homemaker and caring for her husband and children. She loved spending holidays and birthdays together with all her family. She enjoyed doing word searches and reading. What Julia was best known for was being a devoted wife to Richard, and being a loving mother to her four children and their families. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, August 1, 2025 at Root Funeral Home 23 North Chenango Street, Greene New York 13778. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene.
