Joyce E, Utter

Joyce E. Utter, 93, of Binghamton, formerly of Greene passed away on December 22, 2022 at Mercy House. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles D. Utter and by her daughter, Nancy J. Utter. She is survived by her son, Robert C. Utter; daughter, Patty L. Lewis; granddaughter, Kristen (Steve) Gallo; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Tyler, Alexis, Brandon and Emily; sister, Mae Purves; very special nieces, a nephew and BFF, Barbara George. After being a stay at home mom she went to work at Montgomery Wards, volunteered at UHS. She crocheted baby blankets for the new borns for over 20 years and volunteered for CHOW at Maine Federated Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy House for their support. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, December 30, 2022 at Root Funeral Home 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778. Friends may call from 1:00pm until the time of service at Root Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mercy House, 212 N.
