Jon L. Clark

Jon L. Clark, 79 of Greene, went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 5, 2021 at home, surrounded by family.  He was predeceased by his beloved son, James and his sister, Barbara Card. Jon is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Cherrie. Jon will be forever remembered by his children, John and Sheryl Clark and their daughter Madison and her wife, Alexandra of Florida; Dane and Angela Clark of Vestal; Justin Clark and his daughter Kailani of Maine, NY; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Clark and her son, Gage of Greene; brother-in-law and close friend, Uncle Danny;  nephew, Russell and Elaine Card III and many special friends and extended family. Jon was a multi-sport athlete that graduated from Greene Central School. After high school, Jon served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. Following his military service, he was an engineer at The Raymond Corporation and retired after 39 years. Jon enjoyed the great outdoors fishing and hunting with his sons, especially Elk hunting in Idaho. His passions also included card games, making apple cider in the fall, grilling for his family, traveling and working in his garage. Private services are under the direction of Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Berean Bible Church in Greene, NY.
