John W. Finch, 84, of Greene, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2019 at his home. John W. Finch, 84, of Greene, passed away on December 31, 2019. He was born on December 24, 1935. John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth (Betty) and his sons, John Fuller of Greene, James Finch (Heather) of Greene, Charles Finch (Correne) of Greene, and Joseph Finch (Stefane) of Binghamton. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Taylor, Austin (Aubri), Destin, Ashley, Kolby, Jordan, Aden, Mya, and Petyon and great-grandchildren, Emmitt and Haylie. John worked for Utter’s Upholstery in Greene for 48 years and was a long-time member of the Southern Tier Deaf Club. He was also an avid Yankees fan. Per John’s request, there will not be a memorial service, but rather a celebration of life at a later date. The family would like to thank the Greene Emergency Squad for their help and service during this time. Donations can be made to the Greene Emergency Squad.
