Joan Burrows

Joan Burrows, 84, of Greene, passed on June 19, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Donald Burrows. Joan is survived by her son, Daniel Burrows (wife Becky); daughter, Jody Logan (husband Troy); brother, Philip Lord (wife Leah); sister, Elizabeth Jarret (husband Russell); 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Eve, Jennifer, Joel, Nichole, and Paige; and three great grandchildren, Jack, Laney, and Logan. Joan was a woman of many talents. She and her husband Don ran a cattle farm and she also drove school bus 9 yrs during that time. They had a bar and grill where she cooked wonderful food that people still comment about today. She obtained her captain’s license and ran a fishing charter camp with Don. She was well known and loved for her wonderful cooking/baking. She fed everyone along the way and shared her home with numerous people in need of a place to stay. She will be greatly missed, and never forgotten. Give Dad a hug for us. We love you! As per Joan’s wishes there will be no immediate services and a celebration of life gathering will be announced and held later this year to remember the many careers, hobbies, and friends she had throughout her busy and full life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Front Street Animal Shelter, 110 Cutler Pond Road Binghamton, NY 13905.
