Jeffrey A. Shoemaker

Jeffrey A. Shoemaker, 67, of Marathon passed away on August 13, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Phyllis Shoemaker. He is survived by his wife, Helen Shoemaker; daughter, Jessica (Scott) Kelly; son, Jeremy Shoemaker; daughter, Christina (Tyler) Weber; daughter, Nicole Shoemaker and adopted son Michael (Carrie) hall; grandchildren, Zane, Grayson, Dean, Kolton, Lilith, Riley, Jade, Sage, Kora, Emma, Landen, Hailey, Wyatt, Rena, Alyssa, and Michael Jr ; siblings, Gary (Patricia), David (Frances) and Patricia (Donald) Ford; and many nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong lover of cars, Jeffrey was happiest working with his hands. Whether it was a car, lawn mower, snowmobile, or anything with a motor, you could find him in his garage bringing it back to life. However, Jeffrey's greatest joy and pride came from caring for his family, whom he felt were his most important accomplishment in life. He worked tirelessly, often holding multiple jobs, to ensure his loved ones had everything they needed. Known for his generous heart, Jeffrey never hesitated to help anyone in need. His home was always open, and over the years, he welcomed and cared for many children and grandchildren he considered his own. He had a special bond with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pop Pop," and he treasured every moment spent with them. Jeffrey's kindness, dedication, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to hard work, generosity, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. "His hands built, his heart gave, and his love carried us all”.
