Harry F. Swartwood

Harry F. Swartwood, 95, of Greene, went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2023 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lois and parents, Claude and Eva Swartwood. Harry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Harry W. and Peggy Swartwood; Randal P. and JoAnn Swartwood; grandchildren, Janice and Phil Tancora, Lisa Swartwood, Jerrod Paul and Will Swartwood; great-grandchildren, Philip III, Roman and Victoria Tancora. Harry was always a hard worker and retired from SUNY Binghamton as a maintenance worker. He enjoyed gardening, bird watching, hunting, and fishing. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, June 23 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. Friends of the family may call from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Root Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery in Hillcrest.  Arrangements are under the direction of Root Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
