Gordon graduated from Greene Central Schools class of 1984. He then went on to work and retired from Raymond Corporation after 32 years of service. He was an avid football fan and loved the New York Giants. Football Sundays were a favorite in the Lindow house, with Gordy never hesitating to yell at the refs through the television. Gordy enjoyed spending time with all of his children, especially during times of sharing similar hobbies. Pops was always on board with exploring the local music scene and concerts with his children. Additionally, he was determined to be a part of his kiddos activities such coaching civic baseball and soccer, skating at the local skatepark, helping them with their math homework and being involved in his son’s cub scout adventures. He loved attending all of their sports and academic events, always standing tall with his unwavering support, pride and love. He enjoyed being outdoors; working on his lawn and family cars, fishing, golfing and having late night bonfires with his family and friends. During the last few years, he was a weekly participant at the gym at Rock Steady Boxing. His physical and mental goals were a high priority at the gym, always showing up to “punch out Parkinsons” to the best of his ability. Gordy’s greatest achievement was raising his son and daughters with his supportive and devoted wife. He held his grandchildren the closest to his heart. His love was loud, his support was knowing and his work ethic was strong. He was a beloved husband of 38 years, a devout father, son, "Apa", brother, uncle and friend to so many. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. The family would like to say thank you to the amazing team at Guthrie Hospice and his personal health aide, Danielle, for their dedication and care in his final weeks at home.
