Gloria J. French

Gloria J. French, 79, of Greene passed away on October 23, 2024. She was born on September 17, 1945.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles French; parents, John and Genevieve Hayes; and sisters, Dorla Williams and Connie Hayes. She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Dan Williams (Kirkwood, NY), Candace and Nick Drew (Greene, NY); grandchildren, Dakota Williams, McKenzie Drew and Trenton Drew. Gloria graduated from Greene Central School.  In her earlier years, she worked at Page Seed Company, G.C. Controls and Smada Farms.  Later in her life, she worked as an Aide at Susquehanna Nursing Home and retired from Elizabeth Church Manor Nursing Home. Gloria’s passions were knitting, crocheting and baking.  She was best known for her awesome apple pies.  She enjoyed her beloved cat and companion "Whipped Cream". The family would like to thank the staff at the Mercy House of the Southern Tier for their excellent and attentive care. At Gloria’s request, there will be no calling hours and graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
