Eugene E. Gerringer

Eugene E. Gerringer, 88, of Chenango Forks, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, Sandra L. Gerringer. He is survived by his four daughters: Kimberly A. Gerringer of Endwell, Kelly F. Rao of Ypsilanti, MI, Lynn E. McMahon of Louisville, KY, and Kate S. Gerringer of Binghamton; three grandchildren, Anthony P. (Jessica) Brown of Endicott, Brendon G. (Amber) Brown of Marietta, GA, and Darrin H. Gerringer of Ypsilanti, MI; three great-grandsons, Christopher, Julian, and Anthony of Endicott; one sister, Jayne Meyers of Hinsdale; in-laws, Arlene (Joseph) Rado of Allegany; and dear friends, John Finch and Sharon Rafael. Gene proudly worked for over 30 years at Lucent Technologies as an Installer. After retirement, he remained active in his community as a devoted member of the Northern Broome Senior Center, where his kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. Gene will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, a true pillar of his community and a man whose warmth and compassion left a lasting mark on all who were fortunate to know him. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, NY 13778. Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Root Funeral Home.
