Ellen May (Jennison) Adams, born February 3, 1939, passed away peacefully in her sleep engulfed in the love of family at Ideal Living Center on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Previously deceased by her parents Francis and Bernice Jennison, her husbands Ed McLean and John Adams, a stepson Michael Mclean, and a sister Marian Elizabeth. She is survived by daughter, Lisa (Mclean) Smart, step-daughter Julie A. Adams, sisters Marjory (Gerald) Ballard and Cynthia (Jeff) Holcomb, and brothers Dana (Phyllis) Jennison and William (Teresa) Jennison, grandchildren Teona (Jonathan) Sepulveda, Cassandra (Bryan) Carson, and Anthony Lozzi, three great-granddaughters, one great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Throughout her life, Ellen worked with her husband John to run Smada Farms and later for Catholic Charities. She was an avid baker, crafter, sewer, knitter and crocheter. She enjoyed doing local Craft Shows, Farmer's markets, knitting mittens, scarves and hats that were donated to homeless shelters and crocheting baby blankets for children in need. She was a member of the Greene Chamber of Commerce, Marathon Historical Society and the Triangle Quilters's Guild. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Ideal Living Center in Endicott for her wonderful care over the past few months. At the request of the family, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Greene Emergency Squad, Greene, NY.
