Ella Snyder

Ella Bixby Snyder, 94, of Greene went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2022.  She was 5th of 18 children.  She is predeceased by her husband, Norman (Fat) Gillette and later by husband, Leon Snyder; and sons, Richard Decker and Reggie Gillette. She is survived by her daughter, Patty (Mark) Davis; grandchildren, Brian and Bethany Davis, Michelle (Dan) Lake and Paul Decker; great-grandchildren, Taren (Kaitlyn) Davis, Trevor Hampton, Allison Pasati, Jayden Lake, Nathan and Roxanna Decker; three brothers, Warren, Roswell and Roland Bixby; sister, Ramona (Doane) Kenyon and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ella loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed talking to them either in person or on the phone. She enjoyed going to the senior center and played Bingo until health problems prevented her from attending. She loved listening to the music at the Whitney Point Senior Center, especially when Rich Wilson was singing. She always looked forward to the Bixby reunion on the 3rd Sunday of July every year. Friends and family may call on 1:00pm to 2:00pm Tuesday, December 13 at Berean Bible Church, Route 12 South in Greene.  A Celebration of Life will follow at the church at 2:00pm with Bill Reid officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greene Emergency Squad, 30 Birdsall St, Greene, NY 13778.  Arrangements are under the direction of Root Funeral Home, 23 N.
