Elizabeth M. Scott

Elizabeth M. Scott, 96, of Greene went to be with her Lord on July 17, 2019. Due to the pandemic Bettys ashes stayed in Florida till recently.  She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Scott, sister, Margaret Kittle, brother, Charles Reynolds and son, Craig Scott,  Just recently her sister, Kay Gazda passed along with Betty’s son, Charles Scott. She is survived by her loving daughter, Stephanie Kumble and her husband Alan; loving son, Jake Scott and his wife Beth along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  She loved her special girl Boston who followed her everywhere and traveled with her from Florida back to New York many times together. They were quite the pair.  Betty was one of the most caring and generous women always making sure her family was taken care of and those in need.  Betty loved her gardening, baking her zucchini bread, making Dill pickles and reading books. She loved going for rides with her son Jake and girl Boston, she loved traveling with her daughter Stephanie up and down the east coast together.  Betsy retired from GE after 20 plus years of service.  A memorial service for her and her son, Charlie will be held 6:00pm April 21, 2022 at Root Funeral Home 23 N. Chenango Street Greene, NY 13778. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chenango County 33-39 Court Street Norwich, NY 13815. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com.
