Elizabeth "Betty" Kisner

Elizabeth “Betty” Kisner, 88 of Greene, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband, Vern Kisner Sr. and sons, Vern (Spike) Kisner Jr. and Norman Kisner. Betty is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Sue Kisner of Greene and David and Beverly Kisner of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Douglas (Glenda) Kisner of Miami, FL, Clay (Katie) Kisner of Hector, NY, Kelly Kisner of Greenville, SC, Nicole (Luke) Spoon of Raleigh, NC, Christina (Hayden) Jones of Wilson, NC and Ryan (Courtney) Kisner of Morganton, NC; great grandchildren, Aria, Jack and Jade and many nieces and nephews. Our family would especially like to thank Alphina Eels for being such a dear friend and making our mothers stay at Willow Point Nursing Home much more enjoyable and also Shila Clark of Greene. Mom loved to read books and watch Turner Classic Movies on TV. She also loved spending time with her friends who came to visit her. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 4 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. Friends of the family may call from 12:00pm until the time of service at Root Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
