Eleanor M. Paukett

Eleanor Paukett, 93, of Greene, NY went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  She was born September 27, 1929, in Endicott.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Paukett. She is survived by her children, David Paukett, Donald and Diane Paukett, Denise and Brian Signor; grandchildren, Jason (Jen) and James (Zara) Signor, Rachel and Michelle Paukett; and four great-grandchildren.  Eleanor graduated from Charles Wilson Hospital School of Nursing in 1949.  She went on to receive a master’s degree in education while working full time.  Her dream job was working with children as the school nurse for the Chenango Forks and Greene School districts. Eleanor and her husband Joseph were lifelong dance partners. She also enjoyed antiques, painting, artwork, and traveling with her family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She had a joyful outlook on life and was loved by all those who spent time with her.  Each morning she had a quiet prayer time and prayed for the needs of family and friends. She was gracious with her time and lived a full and joyful life.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Friends and family may call from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, April 21 at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. A Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 22 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Greene.
