Dorothy L. Canova

Dorothy L. Canova, 89, of Triangle went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Marie White; husband, Gregory Canova; brother, Ernie White; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Hubert Barnes; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Judy White; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Bruce and Lavona Canova; and niece, Chrissy Kimber. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Kimber; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Gregory and Joan Canova; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Holly and Bill Cook; step-grandchildren, Rebecca (Marty) Delaney, Bruce Canova Jr. (Vicki), Gina Canova and Nicholas (Nga) Cook; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was formerly employed by A&P Tea Company in Greene, Bennett's Food Market in Greene, Grand Union in Norwich, HotDot Foods in Norwich, and the Norwich Price Chopper. The best part of all her jobs were the many people she met and the friends she had; it was her greatest joy. Her life interests were family, her love of her cats, reading, doing needlework, and feeding and watching birds. She truly loved her home life and her family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, May 6 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. Friends of the family may call from 10:00am until the time of service at Root Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's name to the Chenango County SPCA, 6160 County Rd 32, Norwich, NY 13815.
