Donald Colby Meister

Donald Colby Meister, 71, of Greene passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Marcia, and sister, Carol. He is survived by his wife, Loretta; children, Summer, Autumn, and Alex; sister, Marletta and 5 grandchildren.  Colby was a NY State Trooper, retiring as a Sergeant and Norwich Station Commander after 28 years of service. Colby loved to travel and was an avid bicyclist and hiker, he will be greatly missed as a hiking companion. He was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Greene. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family with whom he enjoyed spending time.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 15 at First Congregational Church UCC, North  Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778. Friends of the family may call from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, April 14 at Root Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 28 N.
