Donald K. Leichtfeld

Donald K. Leichtfeld, 78 of Greene, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Wright and his 2 sisters, Joan Leichtfeld and Carol Gonzalez. Don is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Michelle Leichtfeld Jr. of Owego and Ralph and Debra Martin of South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Adam Cobb of Coventry; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and his long time feathered friend and companion, KC. Don was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and football. He retired after 30 years of service from Frontier Communications Company in Greene. He looked forward to visits from his family, especially from his grandchildren Greg and Wren and his great-granddaughter Sophia. A celebration of his life will be held March 29 from 12:00 to 3:00pm at Coventry Fire Hall, 109 North Road Greene, NY 13778. A special thank you goes out to Keith Allgaier for his weekly visits, Dr. Mikloucich and Alycia Bensley at Guthrie Senior Care and to Mary from Guthrie Home Care for Don’s treatment.
