Donald Clark Obituary

Donald Lee Clark, of West Baden, IN went to be with Lord on November 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Deanna Sue (Stackhouse) Clark and son, John (Karen) Clark. He is survived by his son, David (Karin) Clark and three grandchildren, Darin, Shannon, and Renée. Upon his highschool graduation, Don served in the Korean War. Then he earned his Bachelor’s degree at Indiana State University He later earned a Master’s degree. Don taught mathematics, physics and chemistry in Spencer, Salem and Paoli public schools. He spent the majority of his teaching career at his alma mater, Springs Valley Community Schools in French Lick, Indiana. While teaching, he met the love of his life, Deanna Stackhouse Clark, who served as the K-12th grade Music Teacher. It was his great joy to provide a home for his wife and two sons at the family farm in West Baden. Entrenched in the Springs Valley community, Don was a member of the Springs Valley United Methodist Church, where his wife played the Piano, and a Master Mason of Masonic Lodge No. 586 for 63 years. As a beloved grandfather, he was quick with a joke, generous with his patience, and always happy to watch cartoons or a basketball game. A farmer with a felicitous green thumb, he could make even a cactus grow in Upstate New York or sunflowers grow taller than expected. A grave site service will be held January 7th, 2023 at 3:30pm local time at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
