Charles E. Scott

Charles E Scott, 73, of Greene went to be with his Lord on March 28, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Scott and his brother, Craig R. Scott.  He is survived by his loving brother, Jake (Elizabeth) Scott; sister, Stephanie (Alan) Kumble; many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; his special girl, Boston whom he loved and he had many friends who meant a lot to him.  He also loved the NY Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Horse Racing and his Horse Racing program that he developed himself. He loved playing the guitar and arguing with his brother in a good natured way on their daily calls.  He had many friends around Greene being a life long member of the community.  Charlie had a great sense of humor with a big heart, he was good natured with a terrific smile for all who knew him, including his customers where he worked part time in the deli at the Great America which he loved.  A memorial service for Charlie and his mother will be held 6:00pm April 21, 2022 at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene, NY 13778.  Family and friends may call from 4:00pm until the time of service at the Root Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org).
