Carol A. Utter

On Thursday, July 29, 2021, Carol A. Utter passed away at the age of 84. A lifelong resident of Greene, Carol was a kind woman who enjoyed gardening, hosting family gatherings, and taking care of people in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Rose Seymour and her children, Kirk Utter and Nancy Utter Palmer. Carol is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Linda and Ben Johnson, Rick and Jodie Utter, Steve and Donna Utter, Amy and Rick Johnson, Jim and Kim Utter, and Doug Palmer; 12 grandchildren; Chanell, Carol Lynn, Loretta, Kristi, Lindsey, Aaron, Brandon, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Ashley, Matthew, and Makalya, 7 great grandchildren; sister, Alice Rose Gerhart and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association and American Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
