Bruce A. Canova Sr., 71 of Greene, joined his Valentine on February 14, 2021. Bruce A. Canova Sr., 71 of Greene, joined his Valentine on February 14, 2021. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Lavona and his parents, Dorthea and Gregory Canova Jr. Bruce is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Martin Delaney of Texas; son, Bruce Canova Jr. and his partner Vicki Benjamin of Whitney Point; 2 grandchildren, Grayson and Neah Delaney; stepmother, Dorothy Canova; sister, Holly (Bill) Cook; brother, Gregory (Joan) Canova III and in-laws, nieces and nephews. Bruce retired from Raymond Corporation in 2015 to take care of his wife. He also worked at Superior Ambulance and Ozalid Corporation. He enjoyed caring for his lawn, flowers and driving his John Deere tractor. He loved good food and especially his seafood boils that he would have with family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Kloss and Broome Oncology, Lourdes Hospice and their aides and his nurse, Jill McKenna for his care. A special thank you to Warren and Deborah Polidori and Bunny Delaney for their assistance and friendship they provided to Bruce.
