Agnes M. Hurtgam, 83 of Greene, passed away comfortably on January 31, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Agnes McHale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Mildred Hurtgam; brother, Anthony McHale; brother-in-law, Jerry Hurtgam and daughter-in-law, Penny Lewis. Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Charlie; 2 son, Robert Lewis (Lisa) of Matamoras, PA; Richard Lewis of Port Jervis; grandchildren, Melissa and Jerry Zundel of Pittsburgh, PA, Randall and Georgia Lewis, Chris Lewis of Matamoras, PA, Jordan and Jeremy Gochenoor of Port Jarvis; great-grandchildren, Lucy Zundell, Dylan Lewis, Alyssa Lewis and Penelope Gochenour; sister-in-law, Brenda Hurtgam and nieces and nephews, Richard McHale, Bernadette Kent; Jeff, Jay, and Jodie Hurtgam. Maggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Greene. She worked as a bank manager and teller for many years in Greene. She also worked at Travel Tours and started her own company Busy Bees. Agnes loved to travel. She visited 49 states, Ireland, England, Canada and Mexico. In her later years she looked forward to spending part of the winter in Orange Beach, AL. Lake Ludlow was always a good time on the pontoon boat with friends and family. A day was never complete until she had a glass of wine with her husband Charlie. Funeral and burial services will be private.
