Vern (Spike) E. Kisner Jr.

Vern E. (Spike) Kisner Jr., 65 of Greene, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018, after his battle with cancer. He is pre-deceased by his father, Vern Kisner Sr. and brother, Norman Kisner. Spike is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Kisner; brothers, Douglas Kisner Sr. and David (Beverly) Kisner; loving mother of his children, Debby Prindle; daughter, Kelly Kisner; son, Clay (Katy) Kisner; uncle, Jack (Kathleen) McAuliffe; aunt, Josie McAuliffe; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Spike worked for the Roofers union in Binghamton for many years.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed looking for arrowheads in his free time. The family would like to thank all of his good friends that helped to take care of Spike over these past few years. A celebration of Spike’s life will take place at a later date at Davey’s Bar in Chenango Forks. Arrangements are under direction of Root Funeral Home, 23 N.
