Sally Jean Roberts of Windsor,

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Sally’s time with us ended March 29, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford. She is survived by her children, Lorrie Roberts, Susan (Beth) Roberts and her daughter, Jessica, Mark Roberts and his children, Marcus and Koree; great grandchildren, James, Gregory and Daisy Rene; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Ron Mercer; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Bonnie Deiss and many nieces, nephews and friends. Born on December 24, 1937, Sally started the seasons of her life growing up in Windsor, graduating Valedictorian. Marrying Cliff after high school, she enjoyed raising her family in the country. Tending gardens, leading Girl Scout troops, hunting mushrooms, hikes and picnics in the woods, campfires and fishing in the Adirondacks. Her journey would take her to places in Texas and then to retirement in a log cabin on a mountain top in Missouri. She grew where she was planted…made new friends, helped neighbors and was active in her local church. She enjoyed annual summer vacation visits from her children and grandchildren. Her life brought her full-circle, back to her childhood home. It’s from here in Windsor, where so many knew and loved her, surrounded by her children, that she said goodbye. Her time to fly had come! There will be a gathering to celebrate Sally at the Ouaquaga Methodist Church Community House on Saturday, April 7th from 2-4pm. Arrangements are under direction of Root Funeral Home 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778 and condolences may be sent to the family at www.rootfh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ouaquaga Methodist Church or to Lourdes Hospice.
