Rosemary Burns

Rosemary Burns, 85, of Smithville Flats, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Elizabeth Pippen; brother, Louis Partridge and sisters, Charlotte Bailey and Eva Miller. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Miles Ed Burns; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Douglas Fink of Hancock; grandchildren, Dominick and Carrie Fink of Smithville Flats, James and Angela Fink of Hancock; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; sister, Catherine Mullen of CA and brother, Larry Pippen of MI. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and working in the outdoors. She served as the last President of Genegantslet Fire Department Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Genegantslet Fire Company PO Box 151, Smithville Flats, New York 13841.
