Robert Joseph Smith

Robert Joseph Smith, 62, of Greene passed away on Friday, May 18th 2018. He was predeceased by his father, Robert F. Smith. He is survived by his mother, Delores Smith; children, Bob, Kate, Bill, Nate and their families; siblings, Deb Eggleston, Pat Wade, Sandy Deabler, Ann Eggleston, Rick Smith, Kelly Smith, Nicole Mills, Christine Smith and their families; mother, of his children, Betty Smith and stepson David Turri. Bob was a member of the Greene Fire Department and Emergency Squad for 27 years. He was Town of Greene Highway Superintendent for 8 years. “Snuffy” lit up any room he was in with his witty personality.  He loved fishing and sipping on Budweiser with his family and friends. Friends of the family may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778.
