Rest in peace, Pete. You were a quiet giant.

Pete,
You left as you always spent your life..quietly and without fanfare. You were everyone's friend- there to give help to anyone in need, but never asking for anything in return... Always there in any gathering but within the group, not running it. You were extremely intelligent and your college education took you into the world of engineering. When your brother, Bob, passed away in the motorcycle accident it took a heavy toll on you.
You not only enjoyed sports but in school were a member of the football, baseball, bowling and tumbling teams. You excelled in all- probably from being a country boy : ) Later you took on golfing and remained a bowler.
I feel like your obituary was not enough to tell the story of the real you.
Your little grins are the thing that many friends will remember the most but also your easy-going way and how easily you were a stand-out scholar.
I'm sure your friends will have many kind words, memories and stories
they all remember when they are together again.  They will also note that you remained your Mom's caregiver in later years and I am sure you have been the center of her universe. That really tells the true story of a man. You were like a brother as well as a friend to all who had the pleasure of spending so many years with you.
Thoughts of sadness go to your Mom, John and little Linda with the ponytail : ) They may not have realized how much a part of people's lives you were throughout your years at home in Greene.
We will all remember you, Pete.
         Another forever friend,   Val

Wes and I were so sorry to hear of your loss.  Spent many hours at ball games, snowmobiling, on the golf course and bowling alley.  Pete (my little brother as I called him because he was good friends with my younger brother) will be missed.  God Bless RIP Pete.
